Yep - I'm a Facebook n00b - could one of you pros please answer a few q's for me?
1) Today, I was logged in on Facebook and wanted to enter the AE sweep where you post a comment on their wall. When I hit submit, a popup told me I needed to "verify" my account. So I clicked on that. That message told me I needed to enter a mobile phone number to verify that I was a real person -- they would send me a TEXT message to that number. What the hell? I need to have a mobile text capable phone to use Facebook? Is this normal or a glitch? 2) Those "Wildfire" sweeps that are "sort of" connected with Facebook - you can get the entry form when you are not logged in on Facebook - does that mean you don't have to be a Facebook member? Or am I hosing myself by not being logged in when I enter those? Thanks for any help you guys can give me.

Facebook and Twitter were hacked this morning so do not enter your mobile phone
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/us_tec_twitter_outage We are running a Wildfire sweep, but I am having problem understanding your question.  Wildfire is a contest building platform. You build a sweep and you can publish it anywhere - on a dedicated site, through facebook, on zing etc.
