Posting sweepstakes problem

Here's an annoying problem that I've often encountered while posting a new sweepstakes. If the URL is the same as a previous sweepstakes you get the warning that it may be a repost, and it tells you to back up and try again. Of course, when you back up the text I entered is all gone

! BTW, each time I reenter the sweepstakes details I get the same report warning so I am stuck in an endless loop.

This morning I cannot enter the new MGD64 sweepstakes because the old one ended at 9 am today and the new one uses the same URL.

This is the most frustrating problem I've encountered here on FRG (other than not winning more often).

Sorry sduff when I hit the button to go back I still have everything I have typed there. Not sure why you encounter that problem. FYI for the MODS.

Hmm... maybe it's because I'm using IE 8. Next time I'll use FireFox and it will probably work.

No, this is a known bug. I've had the same problem all along. I have learned to COPY all my text before hitting the "preview" button. That way, IF it is flagged for some reason and I go back (losing all my text), I can just PASTE it in again.

Thats weird....I have had the loop thing before but I never have lost everything when I hit the go back and resubmit problem.Something for Jon or Ross to look into I guess?
I use FF so I don't know if its a IE 8 issue or not.
I have also learned like on the Mom Logic or Extra TV ones...post everything EXCEPT the rules link and you can bypass that "are you sure" part if its not already posted..then I add the rules link and hit submit if its not showing.Otherwise it will pull up stuff that expired months ago because the rules link is always the same on those.

This morning I posted the Ron Hazelton sweepstakes using FireFox and it worked fine. When I backed up from the repost warning my original text was still there so it was easy to submit it. Good thing I have FireFox just for these occasions!

If you get the "repost" warning, and it's not a repost, don't click on "cancel changes". I click the "X" in the corner, which closes the repost warning box, and my post is still there.

The new MGD sweep is having issues. It lets you fill out the form, but just sits on the submission with the clock going around and around. I shot them off an email. I hope they have people looking at emails even though it's a holiday weekend.
